Here are a few shots of what I have been up to with the Z for those that have been asking. Spent most of the day prepping the tranny for paint (ie, lots of degreasing and grease removal for paint). Finally finished it a bit ago.

Got the turbos in some time ago but thought I would throw up some pics regardless. These are the 530 ball bearing turbo's that GMS sold for some time, impressivle turbo. I hope to really have some fun with them.

Since I had turbos on my mind I took some time and metal worked out the bumps on the turbo inlet pipes for better flow. Hopefully this will help a little bit, either way it wasn't a total pain in the but to do with a propane torch, metal ring and rubber mallet.

Yesterday was a busy day, had to drive up to Austin to drop of the last of the internals for the final stages of assembly on the rebuilt engine. Went with .20 overbore pistons and a whole slew of machine work to get the engine as stout as possible for my taste anyway. Got the Eagle rods in finally and added them to the pile. ARP hardware all around, new lifters, titanium retainers, JWT VDC springs, all new seals and gaskets all around, new cam sensors, new dipstick guide and of course the powdercoated goodies.

All of the new OEM stuff parts that I plan to replace. Basically tried to replace all the sensors to make things easier on me later on. There is another box of this as well. *sigh*

Something I've been working on lately. Took of all the markings on the TB for a smoother clean look. Still undecided if I like it or not. Here is a little comparo shot.

And some of the new parts and old parts that I've been stuffing away for some time now. Starting to dust everything off and getting it all ready.

Border intake

Chromed BOV hardpipes

Samco hoses

Autopower 5 point harnesses

Carbing strut bar

Stillen intercoolers

There is some other stuff but I'll post something else as I get farther along with the build. Lots of work to do still. *sigh* Slow and steady...triple check everything...yadda yadda yadda.
